/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/ncatastrophe is over, will some of the lessons, values, and new practices stick?

As the news is dominated by Covid-19, the climate, pollution, and
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nenvironmental crises seem forgotten. Indeed, mobility systems /cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/u2018naturally/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/u2019 seem
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/ndeserving of billion Dollar rescue packages, even though they are causally
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nimplicated in the death of 7 million people from air pollution per year
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nworldwide (WHO),
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/n40,000 a year in the UK,
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nand climate change that will impoverish, displace, and kill more than 240
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nmillion people by 2050, whilst incurring $520 billion losses (Worldbank).
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nMight the viral mobilities of Covid-19 eclipse these other crises?/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/n

In our current media discourse they already do. The virus is feared in ways
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nthat mobilises instant, worldwide societal and economic transformation. In
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/ncontrast, the threat of looming systemic collapse of
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nvital planetary systems has inspired very little action. It is the
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nmulti-causal system-ness of the climate, pollution, and environmental crises
/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/nthat has stopped a mobilities transformation so far. That hasn/cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/u2019t changed. /cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/n

To change mobility systems, more than disruption is needed. /cemore/wp-json/wp/v2/posts/4966/n

Learning new ways of living, working, and socialising locally and online is possible and not enough. We also need deeper understanding of, and more mobilities research on: public understanding, reasoning and sense-making practices around system-ness and precarity, causality and responsibility, courage and creativity, social movements and mobile publics, collective and individual capacities for translating understanding to transformation.
