Dr Farmon Asadov

Senior Teaching Associate in Operations Management

Research Overview

Dr Asadov’s research focuses on sustainable supply chain management, human rights, and labour governance. His work investigates how non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and civil society intermediaries address systemic challenges such as forced labour and modern slavery beyond conventional social auditing and compliance mechanisms. His research also examines the evolution of supply chain governance and how organisations build legitimacy in response to social and institutional pressures, with a particular focus on the cotton-textile industry in Uzbekistan.
