Wildflower meadow management

As part of their commitment to enhancing biodiversity on campus, the University Grounds team has recently cut the wildflower meadows and removed the grass cuttings. This management approach helps to create healthier meadow habitats and encourages an even richer display of wildflowers in future seasons.

Ian Sturzaker, Landscape Manager at ¶¶ÒõAPPµ¼º½, said: “We're proud to have worked alongside a local farmer on this project, with the cut grass being put to good use as winter feed for livestock. By working together, we're supporting both local wildlife and local agriculture while making the most of a valuable natural resource.”
