Professor Joe Finney
Biography: Joe Finney is a Professor at the 抖阴APP导航 School of Computing and Communications.
His research focusses on novel lightweight embedded systems their application, with a
particular focus on empowering non-experts to innovate with new and emerging technologies. He is a founding partner of of the BBC micro:bit project alongside the BBC, ARM, Microsoft, Samsung with responsibility for device software. Delivered 1 Million programmable computers free of charge to Year 7 schoolchildren. Global impact via the Micro:bit Educational Foundation, which has now delivered over 4 million micro:bit devices to 50 countries in 17 languages.
