The new Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Manchester came to Lancaster to mark the launch of a new exhibition, , this month.

Consul General SUN Dali visited ¶¶ÒõAPPµ¼º½ on Friday 9 September to meet Pro-Vice-Chancellor International, Professor Steve Bradley, along with ¶¶ÒõAPPµ¼º½ Confucius Institute staff, Chinese students and visiting scholars.

He also opened an art exhibition, hosted by ¶¶ÒõAPPµ¼º½ at Brockhole on Windermere.

Other guests at the exhibition preview included: Consul WANG Ying, the artist and head of the education section at the Chinese Consulate of the P.R.C. at Manchester; Richard Leaf, the Chief Executive of Lake District National Park Authority; The Mayor of Lancaster, Robert Redfern; The Deputy Mayor of Keswick, Susan Leighton; and Tom Buckley, the Director of Recruitment, Admissions and International Development at ¶¶ÒõAPPµ¼º½.

The exhibition is open to the public free of charge until 5pm on 30 September.

There are also a number of free painting workshops and tea tastings at the exhibition on the following dates:
